Arrow Petroleums Ltd.
Arrow Petroleums Ltd. was a chain of gas stations founded by Joe McManus Sr. in 1964, headed by Mr. McManus' son Joe Jr. Arrow began life in an old house at 358 Horton Street in London with one retail outlet at Ridout & York Streets plus one farm agent in Tillsonburg. When Joe sold the company to Ultramar Canada Ltd. in 1971 the annual sales were about 30,000,000 gallons and it had 180 retail outlets, 30 farm sales agents/distributors, a bulk marine terminal at Port Stanley and other bulk plants across Southwestern Ontario.
